The State Archives in Zadar (DAZD) is located in Ruđer Bošković Street 1, in the city center and close to the University of Zadar.

It is located in a building that is shared with the Science Library and the Maritime School. You can reach us by foot, by car or by city bus.

The Guide to the Archives of Zadar Diocese

The State Archives Reading Room in Zadar is open from 8:30 to 14:00 on working days and from 8:30 to 18:00 on Wednesdays, except in period from July 1st till August 31st, when the Reading Room is opened as in the other working days. The same applies in case a public holiday (day off) falls on Thursdays.

Archival records to be used on Wednesday afternoons should be ordered the same day until 14:00.

The Reading Room is also opened on Saturdays from 8:00 to 12:00 (except in period from July 1st till August 31st).
Archival records to be used on Saturdays should be ordered Friday untill 12:00.

The Reading room of the Archives of Zadar Diocese is open from 8:00 to 14:30h on working days.

The Reading room of the Collection Center of Novalja is open from 8:00 to 14:30h on working days.

The Reception office receives visitors from 8:30 to 12:00h.

The Collection office of Novalja receives visitors from 8:30 to 14:00h on working days.
